MILAN, Italy, Nov. 5, 2026 — AC Milan had just beaten Inter in the derby. Ferencvaros walked into San Siro with a perfect Europa League record and left with it still intact.

Lenny Joseph scored twice in the second half as the Hungarians beat Ruben Amorim's side 2-0 on Thursday, AFP and beIN SPORTS reported. It was Milan's third loss in four Europa League matches and left the seven-time European champions with three points at the halfway mark of the league phase, outside the top 24. Ferencvaros moved to 12 points and kept pace with Bournemouth atop the table.

Joseph, a Haiti international, had already tested stand-in Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani several times before the break. Torriani was starting because captain Mike Maignan was suspended after a red card in a 3-0 loss at Bournemouth and backup Pietro Terracciano was injured, dpa reported. Amorim made a triple change at halftime, bringing on Christian Pulisic, Mario Gila and Diego Moreira.

The breakthrough came in the 52nd minute. Torriani's touch on a bouncing back pass got away from him under pressure from Kristoffer Zachariassen, and Joseph swept the loose ball into an empty net. Fourteen minutes later Zachariassen broke clear on the counter, drove into the box and squared for Joseph, who finished from about 12 yards for his second.

Ferencvaros finished with 10 men after substitute Bamidele Yusuf was shown a straight red card in the 77th minute following a VAR review for an elbow on Gila. Milan could not break through. Omari Hutchinson forced a late save from Denes Dibusz, but the hosts managed only two shots on target from 15 attempts, according to beIN SPORTS.

beIN SPORTS, citing Opta, said it was the first time Ferencvaros had won four consecutive matches in major European competition since the 1967-68 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, when the club won six in a row on the way to the final. Zachariassen finished with two assists and now has six goal involvements in the competition this season.

Milan next visits Olympiacos on Nov. 26. Ferencvaros hosts Real Betis.
