Satire Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
The Clown Times is satire. It is the made-up humor section of Serious Business Network, at seriousbusinessnetwork.io/clown-times. Everything published there is fiction written to make you laugh. It is not news, and it is not meant to be believed.
How we label it
- Every Clown Times piece and card shows a SATIRE label above the headline.
- Every piece opens and closes with a disclaimer saying it is satire and not real news.
- Link previews (social cards) start with “SATIRE |” and the page metadata marks the piece as satire.
- Satire is kept out of our real stories: it never appears on the homepage story feed, in Odd News, in The Arena, or in “More ridiculous stories”.
What we won’t do
- Pretend to be a real news outlet, or copy a real outlet’s name, logo or look.
- Make up quotes and present them as things real people actually said. Characters are invented; when a real public figure appears, the joke is obvious and clearly labeled.
- Publish fake health or medical claims, election or voting information, civic or government misinformation, or anything about real tragedies, disasters, deaths or violence.
- Write satire meant to harass, demean or target anyone for who they are.
Our real stories, in Odd News, are funny true stories that link to the outlets that reported them.
