Thunder's Jalen Williams Stretchered Off With Serious Left Leg Injury in Win Over Clippers
By The Arena Staff
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 26, 2026 — Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams was carried off the court on a stretcher Sunday night after hurting his lower left leg late in a 108-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, a scene that left some of his teammates close to tears.
Williams went down underneath the basket on a drive with 1:14 left, the Associated Press reported. Medical staff reached him almost right away, towels were draped over his ankle and the stretcher was called for within seconds. Play was stopped for about five minutes. Sitting up as he was wheeled off, Williams gave the home crowd two thumbs up.
Clippers guard Kris Dunn was called for a flagrant foul on the play after a video review, according to CBS Sports.
The Thunder did not give a diagnosis Sunday night. Coach Mark Daigneault said the team would be briefed Monday morning on Williams' condition. "We're not doing great," he said.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 34 points, fought back tears in his postgame TV interview. "Just feel bad for him," he said. "Nothing more than that." Later he added, "He's not gone forever. He'll be back better than ever. We know it. We've just got to hold the fort down until he comes back."
Williams, an All-Star and All-NBA selection who helped Oklahoma City win the 2025 NBA title, missed 49 games last season, mostly with hamstring problems and recovery from surgery on his right wrist. He will sit out Monday night's home game against the Phoenix Suns. Guard Cason Wallace and forward Jaylin Williams also left Sunday's game in the first quarter with injuries, which could leave the Thunder even thinner against Phoenix.
This story will be updated when the Thunder release more information.
