MADRID, Nov. 8, 2026 — The Atlanta Falcons scored on their first two drives at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday morning. Then Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase took over the home of Real Madrid, and the rest of the morning belonged to Cincinnati.

Burrow completed 24 of 29 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns, ran for a fourth score, and the Bengals beat the Falcons 34-17 for their fourth straight win. According to the team, it was the first victory in franchise history in a game played outside the United States.

Chase did most of his damage before halftime. He caught eight passes for 142 yards in the first half, the most first-half receiving yards of his career, according to the Bengals, and finished with 10 catches for 155 yards. His 47-yard touchdown on a third down answered Atlanta's opening-drive score and was his longest catch of the season.

"At any moment, you've got to be ready for him to transition what is a five-yard completion into a 40-yard gain," Bengals coach Zac Taylor said. "That's just Ja'Marr Chase. Best in the world."

Cincinnati scored on all four of its first-half possessions. Burrow's 1-yard sneak early in the second quarter gave the Bengals their first lead, Tee Higgins caught a 4-yard touchdown pass, and Evan McPherson hit a 57-yard field goal just before the break for a 24-10 lead. Higgins added an 8-yard touchdown in the third quarter, his second straight game with two scoring catches.

Atlanta never found an answer on defense. NFL.com counted 7.1 yards per play allowed and just two Bengals punts, and the Falcons were flagged 12 times for 88 yards. Bijan Robinson ran for 100 yards again and had 147 yards from scrimmage, but when Atlanta drove to the Cincinnati 10 early in the fourth quarter, a holding call wiped out a third down and Nick Folk missed a 38-yard field goal. Linebacker Barrett Carter later intercepted Michael Penix Jr.

The Bengals have now scored 30 or more points in four straight games, which the team says ties a franchise record last reached in 1997. At 6-2, they share first place in the AFC North with Pittsburgh, and they get the Steelers at home next Sunday night. Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame wrote that if Cincinnati is right, "it's terrifying."

"I think we've got the best fanbase there is," Taylor said of the Bengals fans who made the trip, "so for them to come out here and be able to reward them with a victory, that was big time."

Atlanta, which was shut out 16-0 at Tampa Bay a week ago, fell to 3-6.
