Made-Up Town Adds Honk-Only Traffic Lane for Clown Cars
The town council of Gigglesburg, a place that is not real, voted 7 to 0 with one abstaining whoopee cushion to open a lane reserved for vehicles that honk at least once per block.
"It's about safety," said Mayor Dottie Fizzlebottom, a made-up mayor. "Before this, clown cars were stopping every few feet to let out forty clowns. Now they stop in their own lane."
Residents report the lane is loud but punctual. Several unicycles have filed for an exemption.
The council will next consider a pie-throwing zone near the library, pending a study on cream versus meringue.
