Joe Burrow Throws for 462 Yards and Five TDs, Then Runs in the Winner as Bengals Beat Titans in OT

The Arena share card for Joe Burrow's six-touchdown game in the Bengals' overtime win over the Titans

CINCINNATI, Nov. 1, 2026 — Joe Burrow threw three interceptions on Sunday. He also threw for 462 yards and five touchdowns, and when the game went to overtime he took the ball in himself.

Burrow's 9-yard scramble finished a five-play, 70-yard drive on the first possession of overtime, and the Cincinnati Bengals held on for a 43-36 win over the Tennessee Titans at Paycor Stadium when the defense forced an incompletion on fourth-and-3.

He completed 38 of 48 passes. According to the Bengals, he is only the second player in NFL history with at least 450 passing yards, five touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown in the same game. The other was Norm Van Brocklin in 1951, the day he set the league's single-game record with 554 passing yards.

His two top receivers did most of the damage. Tee Higgins caught 10 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns, including an 18-yarder late in the fourth quarter that tied the game at 36. Ja'Marr Chase had 11 catches for 141 yards and a 30-yard touchdown on third-and-18, the 60th touchdown of his career. Mike Gesicki caught a 25-yard score for the fifth straight game, a franchise record for a tight end, and rookie Jack Endries caught a 1-yard pass for his first NFL touchdown.

The other side of the ledger was just as busy. Burrow's three interceptions were a season high, CBS Sports noted, and Tennessee's Amani Hooker had all three, according to the BBC. Cam Ward threw for a career-high 304 yards and two touchdowns for Tennessee, and Tony Pollard ran for 117 yards and two scores.

Along the way, Burrow threw his 175th career touchdown pass in his 84th regular-season game. Only Patrick Mahomes and Dan Marino got there faster, the team said. He also moved past Carson Palmer into fourth on Cincinnati's career passing list.

The Bengals are 5-2 and have won three straight. They play the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid next Sunday.
