Wind Drags Bride by Giant Balloons Toward Seawall During Istanbul Photo Shoot
A gust caught her giant balloon bouquet beside the Bosphorus. She never let go.
ISTANBUL, Oct. 30, 2026 — A bride-to-be posing beside the Bosphorus with a bouquet of giant balloons got a lot more movement in her photos than she planned.
During an Oct. 26 shoot, a strong gust caught the oversized beige balloons and dragged her along the waterfront toward the seawall, the New York Post reported. Her photographer ran after her and grabbed her before she slammed into a building.
She was not hurt, and she finished the shoot.
Video of the moment, first distributed by Jam Press, spread quickly this week and was also covered by India Today and WION. Plenty of viewers compared it to the movie "Up."
Others were struck by her grip. "She wouldn't let go of those balloons for anything," one commenter wrote, according to the Post.
